Method and assumptions
For each transaction, the calculator applies the percentage rate to the charge and adds the fixed fee. Gross-up mode solves the same formula in reverse to find the charge needed for a target net amount.
The starting rate is an editable example, not a quote. Stripe rates differ by account country, card origin, payment method, currency conversion, add-on products, disputes, and negotiated terms. Review the official Stripe pricing page before making a decision.

Common questions
Does this include Stripe Billing or Tax fees?
No. Enter the processing percentage and fixed fee you want to model. Product add-ons, taxes, disputes, and currency conversion are separate.
Why is the effective fee rate higher on small charges?
The fixed fee represents a larger share of a small transaction, so the effective percentage rises as the charge amount falls.
Can I use a non-USD currency?
Yes for formatting and custom fee inputs. Enter the exact rate and fixed fee from the Stripe pricing page for your account country and payment method.
